-Hello
Edilson, I'm really flattered you accepted to be interviewed
for CoverMen Mag!, to start this interview off, please
give me some background information.
I was
born in Joao Pessoa, Brazil, I have studied hard, I
practiced judo and I still practice it I am black
belt I gave up judo a bit when I was younger to dedicate
myself to my studies and later, having finished my studies
I dedicated myself to my career of model, now I live
in New York.
-Do you remember your first
photo shoot? How did you feel about being in front of
the camera? How old were you at the time?
My
first photo shoot was made in Brazil with my agent I
didn’t feel very comfortable at the beginning but later
I improved. I was 16 years old when I really began.
-You
were the "cover model" of "DNA Magazine",
(issue #107), do you consider that your greatest achievement
as a model so far?
Yes I was the cover model
of "DNA Magazine" it gave me props but newly I have
made the cover of the Brazilian magazine, "Junior",
that is very promising but I always try to aim
higher.
-I know you are a very successful
model, please share with me some of your recent modeling
assignments..
As for the previous question,
I have to say that the magazine Junior I worked for
came out recently, I worked for Maison Vandenvos Spring
Summer 2009 Collection Catalogue in Belgium,
I was featured on the Brazilian magazine "Capricho"
and I am going to participate in the new campaign
of Guess.
-Let's talk about future plans:
the next "thing" most models want to pursue
is an acting career, is it so for you too?
Yes
it' s so for me too so far, I do not intend to be a
model all my life long afterwards I plan to pursue an
acting career.
-Tell me something
about your personality, how would you describe who Edilson
Nascimento is? Which adjectives would you use?
I
am a simple guy I like to stay with my friends and to
help people within reason. I like to take care of my
body which is my working tool and I am optimistic.
-What
kind of music do you like? Who is your favorite singer
or band?
I listen a bit of everything but
my favourite remains Michael Jackson but I like very
much the rap rnb, the eletro I am very open on music.
-What's your favorite sport? How often do you play it?
I
practice judo, I like it very much and as I said before
I am black belt and when I have the time I practice
boxing too.
