-Hello
Kyle, I am flattered you accepted to be interviewed
for my website, just to start this interview off please
tell me some background information.
I'm
originally from Monrovia Indiana, which consists of
a hand full of stop signs and corn fields. My family
is about as diverse as they come, my mom is Dutch Indonesian
and my dad is a mix of European, while my step father
is black…crazy stuff. I started going to college in
Arizona for marketing, but I put that on hold to model.
As far as where I live goes….I live where ever my suitcase
will fit lol right now its all about traveling and building
my book.
-How did you get discovered?
What did your parents say about you being a model?
I
just decided it was something I wanted to do. I didn't
really get discovered I just leaned up and started testing
with random photographers, stopping only to submit my
photo's to different agencies. My family is very supportive
now that its starting to take off. I think initially
they didn't’really think it would happen for me but
now they’re excited to see my career take off.

-Tell
me about your first job as a model...did anyone tell
you what to do during it?
Well my first job
in New York was for Harper Bazaar Magazine with Jessica
Simpson and I was nervous as hell. I was still so new,
I had so many questions and stuff….New York City was
so new to me too.
What do you consider
your first important modeling assignment? I
would have to say, when I shot for Holster. I still
didn’t have much of a clue what I was doing and I was
just excited to get out of the city at that point. I’ve
grown up a lot between now and then.
-Though
you are very young, you're already a very successful
model, what do you think is the key to be chosen by
photographers and clients in such a competitive market?
I’d
say I’m doing my best to become a successful model.
The main key is to build a good reputation for yourself
with everyone you’ve ever worked with. If they know
you’ll come in and give them exactly what they’re looking
for, be on time, be well rested and not give them any
problems they’ll book you consistently and they’ll speak
highly of you when others ask how you are to work with.
-The
next "thing" most models want to pursue is
an acting career, is it so for you too?
One
step at a time. I would like to transition into acting,
but right now I’m traveling so much that I would need
some stability in order to really pursue acting and
acting classes. So I’m anxious to see how it plays out
: )
-How would you describe yourself in
few words? Which adjectives would you use?
Laid
back, random, spontaneous, unconventional, optimistic.
-Do you have a personal motto, or song,
or quote that sums up your thoughts about life in a
sentence?
You can never win big if you’re
to scared to play the game, The most successful people
in life are the ones who aren’t afraid to take risks.
-What
did you wish to be when you were growing up?
I
actually wanted to be a fisheries biologist for the
longest time, until I realized that there is a whole
other world out there that I wanted to explore. So I
went and started doing it. I’m way too ambitious to settle
for a life that isn’t exactly what I want.
-Thanks
Kyle for taking the time to reply to my questions, it
was a gift to me and my readers!
It was my
pleasure : )
